What is KIDD Forever?

After reaching adulthood, many people with challenging intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) are effectively abandoned — shut out from jobs and recreational activities, they are left with almost nothing to occupy their time or fulfill their potential. KIDD Forever's mission is to fill this vast gap in our society by providing outdoor and farm based enrichment activities for these individuals.

At KIDD Forever, we believe adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) deserve lives of dignity, purpose, and connection. We’re seeking the 7th and final member of our Board of Directors to help shape our grassroots nonprofit from the ground up.

You’ll be a critical player in shaping the structure and sustainability of KIDD Forever. We’re looking for someone with a sharp eye for detail and a deep belief in equity and inclusion.

You might be a great fit if you:

• Have experience in nonprofit compliance, legal, HR, or risk management

• Understand the importance of clear policies, procedures, and documentation

• Are organized, accountable, and available for remote board meetings (currently 2x/month, will reduce over time)

As Director of Compliance, you will:

• Ensure we meet our legal and ethical responsibilities as a nonprofit

• Help build systems and documents that support safety, transparency, and trust

• Guide the board through HR matters, liability questions, and organizational risk

This isn’t just a seat at the table; it’s a cornerstone role in building KIDD Forever’s future. We’re looking for someone who wants to make a real difference with their expertise.
