Special Weekend Events

At KIDD Forever, we believe in nurturing deep connections, belonging, and shared joy. Our occasional weekend community gathering days bring participants, families, and community members together on the farm to celebrate connection in an inclusive, nature-based setting. Join us for casual potlucks, family time, and hands-on community participation designed to build lasting relationships and strengthen our shared community.

Community Engagement

Community Engagement through Washington State’s Developmental Disabilities Community Services (DDCS), formerly DDA, is a person-centered service designed to build social connections, promote skill-building, and reduce isolation.

At KIDD Forever, our onsite Community Engagement programs provide a welcoming, structured environment where participants connect with peers and engage in meaningful group and individual activities, focused on farm activities in a nature-based setting.

What We Offer:

  • Peer Connection & Socializing: Structured small-group and individualized sessions designed to foster friendships, improve communication skills, and build natural social networks.

  • Onsite Skill Development: Hands-on activities focused on creative arts, life skills, recreational programs, and personal growth tailored to each participant's person-centered goals.

  • Supported Independence: Guided encouragement that builds confidence, promotes self-advocacy, and increases active participation in community life.

Service Details:

  • Billing & Eligibility: Private pay is accepted, and services are covered under eligible DDA waivers (including Individual & Family Services and Basic Plus).

  • Rate: $38.20 per hour for individualized sessions (accepted through DDA/DDCS funding or private pay).

  • Schedule Options: Available during morning and afternoon sessions across both Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter schedules.

Respite Care

Respite Care through Washington State’s Developmental Disabilities Community Services (DDCS), formerly DDA, is a short-term support service designed to give family caregivers a necessary break from their day-to-day caregiving responsibilities while ensuring participants receive safe, engaging, and compassionate care.

At KIDD Forever, our onsite Respite Care program offers families peace of mind by providing a supportive, nature-based community environment where participants engage in therapeutic farm-based activities, social interactions, and supervised skill-building during scheduled day sessions.

What We Offer:

  • Caregiver Relief: Scheduled, reliable coverage that allows family members and primary caregivers time to rest, recharge, or attend to personal needs.

  • Onsite Engagement: Active, meaningful participation in farm and nature-based programs, arts and crafts, and structured group activities tailored to individual interests and abilities.

  • Safe, Supervised Support: Person-centered care provided by trained staff in a welcoming, secure environment that prioritizes participant safety and well-being.

Service Details:

  • Billing & Eligibility: Services are covered under eligible DDA/DDCS waivers (including Individual & Family Services and Basic Plus) or available via private pay.

  • Rate: $25.08 per hour for individual sessions (accepted through DDA/DDCS funding or private pay).

  • Schedule Options: Available during morning and afternoon sessions across both Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter schedules.
