Adam Burns — President & Co-Founder
Adam is the heart and mind behind KIDD Forever. As the parent of an adult son with Level 3 Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, Adam understands firsthand the challenges and joys of raising a loved one with complex needs—and the lack of meaningful enrichment options for adults with IDD after high school.
Before launching KIDD Forever, Adam taught music in East and South Los Angeles, working with students from diverse and underserved backgrounds. His experiences there taught him the power of creativity, structure, and connection—principles that guide the work of KIDD Forever today.
With a long career in software engineering and leadership at Microsoft, Adam brings a rare combination of personal passion and professional discipline to his nonprofit work. His vision is clear: to create a space where adults with IDD can thrive, connect, and experience the joy of community and nature.
